Weqaya begins medical tests for students in Ajman schools

 A team of the National Programme for Diseases Prevention (Weqaya), one of Zayed Giving Initiative's programs has begun conducting medical examinations on the school students in the emirate of Ajman in implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of General Women's Union, and of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

The drive is part of "Weqaya" program's campaigns under which teams will visit various government and private institutions and departments to conduct comprehensive heart examinations through the cardiac unit of the Emirati Humanitarian Mobile Hospital.

The program is aimed at detecting cases early for timely treatment as well as educating students and teachers on the most important causes of heart disease and ways of prevention by identifying risk of genetic and non-genetic factors which leads to this deadly disease.
